WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS {EWS-554A}
Technicians need to have an understanding of the wireless systems in use today such as AM stereo, FM stereo, television, and satellite systems plus multi-channel communications, HDTV, and more. This Wireless Communications System Course captures the student's interest by presenting straightforward information on the systems they use on a daily basis. The lab experiments begin with practical experiments using the ETW-5000 Communication Trainer, ETW 3567 Backpack, and the ETB-554 Experiment Boards. This course starts off with an explanation of propagation and how information gets through the air from one point to another. The student then learns about optical transmission systems, which use fiber cables instead of wires. Finally, the student learns how many typical broadcast systems work, as well as the new HDTV technology.
