SEMICONDUCTOR DEVICES {EV-3103-A}
Advances to the fundamentals of discrete devices, integrated circuits, and optoelectronic devices. Approximately 1 hour in length.
Course Objectives
- Explain how semiconductor devices are made.
- Discuss the role of PN junctions in electronic theory.
- State the principles of diodes and various optical devices.
- Discuss the principles and operation of bipolar and field-effect transistor construction.
- Explain the purposes and operation of various optoelectronic devices, including photoconductive and photovoltaic cells, photodiodes, phototransistors, LEDs and liquid crystal displays.

Each Video package includes a workbook with student exercises and an informative answer guide with supplemental information. The hour-long videos come in DVD format except Soldering and Component Recognition.
