MICROPROCESSORS {EV-3810-A}
This fascinating video series introduces you to the microprocessor "brains" that make your calculator, cellular phone, VCR, and similar products operate. You'll study microprocessor theory and operation, specifically the Motorola® 6800 family of 8-bit microprocessors, learn how to program a microprocessor and interface it with the outside world. Plus, you'll learn computer arithmetic, flowcharts and more. All in three 2-hour videos.
Course Objectives
- Program a typical microprocessor and interface it to the outside world.
- Identify the Op Code, MPU cycles, number of bits, and condition code flags for specific flag code instruction.
- Describe the internal register structure of the 6800 and 6808 microprocessors.
- Explain the procedures for using the MPU stack.
- Trace the data flow that takes place between circuits during program execution.
- Interpret a program which converts BCD to binary.
Prerequisites
- Digital Techniques
