Audio and Video Systems and Signals |
There are many different types of audio and video signals, and knowing how to identify and handle the various types is key to the ability to install these systems and work properly. Students will learn the basic properties and formats of the various signals including (but not limited to) satellite and digital signals. |

Sound Technologies |
Great sound quality is always expected in home technology. By gaining a better understanding of the phenomena of sound, DHTI installers will be able to design audio environments, select appropriate hardware and install reliable systems for their customers. In an effort to provide a “sound” understanding to the above,
Heathkit’s Residential Audio & Video Systems course delves into sound production, properties, sources, speakers and measurements. |

Home Theater Components and Technologies |
Home theaters can vary widely by features and size, as well as by hardware. Future DHTI installers need to know the array of home theater components available, how these components work together, as well as how to install these audio/video components within the “house plan.” This course addresses all the above topics, in addition to testing and troubleshooting the audio subsystem. |
